The successful candidate will work alongside site supervisors and project tradesmen to complete active construction works safely, efficiently, and to high trade standards. Key Duties & ResponsibilitiesLay concrete blocks, bricks, and stone to construct foundations, structural walls, partitions, and perimeter fences.Mix mortar, cement, grout, and plaster to required consistency and project specifications. Prepare substrates, erect string lines, verify plumb and level, and bond masonry units with structural accuracy.Pour, level, screed, float, and finish concrete for slabs, footings, columns, lintels, and walkways.Apply interior and exterior scratch coats, brown coats, and finish plaster or stucco.Cut, trim, and shape masonry units using hand chisels, block cutters, and masonry power saws.Assist with the placement of reinforcing rebar, wire mesh, and formwork prior to structural concrete pours.Maintain, clean, and safely store all masonry tools, hand equipment, and mechanical mixing machinery. Adhere strictly to site safety protocols, maintain tidy work areas, and clear building debris from active zones.Qualifications & RequirementsMinimum of 5+ years of proven, practical hands-on experience in construction masonry (over 10+ years preferred). Proficient in block laying, plastering, rendering, and structural concrete finishing.Ability to follow building measurements, layouts, and site supervisor directions accurately.Strong physical endurance and fitness, including the ability to lift heavy construction materials (50+ lbs), kneel, bend, and work outdoors in tropical conditions.Punctual, dependable, and capable of working productively with minimal supervision. Clean police clearance certificate and valid medical fitness clearance.
