Senior Software Developer.

Northview is the investment arm of a Cayman Islands-based private investment office. We are looking for an experienced Senior Software Developer to join our IT team for a fixed-term contract. The successful candidate will be responsible for building and supporting Power BI reports.

Specific responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
•Designing, developing, and deploying advanced Power BI / Power Pivot reports and dashboards to support business decision-making processes.
•Conducting detailed data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights within financial data sets.
•Adhering to existing processes for setting up reports, ensuring consistency and compliance with company standards.
•Working closely with cross-functional teams, including financial analysts, traders, and IT professionals, to gather requirements, understand business needs, and deliver tailored solutions.
•Optimizing Power BI and Excel Power Pivot solutions for performance, scalability, and usability while ensuring data integrity and accuracy.
•Providing training and support to end-users to ensure they can effectively utilize Power BI and Excel Power Pivot reports and dashboards.
•Creating and maintaining comprehensive documentation for Power BI solutions, including technical specifications, user guides, and training materials.
•Undertaking any other tasks and projects that may be assigned by management from time to time.

The successful candidate will possess the following:
•A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
•A Master’s degree would be an advantage.
•Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate, Financial Risk Manager (FRM), or Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) are advantageous.
•A minimum of five (5) years of experience in .NET development, with at least three (3) years working in the financial services industry.
•Expert-level proficiency in Power BI, including DAX, Power Query, data modeling, and Power BI Report Builder.
•Experience with SQL, Excel, and other data visualization tools.
•In-depth understanding of financial markets, instruments, and trading strategies.
•Experience with market data providers and financial databases would be an advantage.
•Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS would be an advantage.
•Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and present clear, actionable insights.
•Strong verbal and written communication skills, and a firm commitment to accuracy and excellence.
•The ability to work within a dynamic environment, share workloads, work cross-functionally and be able to self-manage and prioritize work effectively.
•Willingness and ability to work outside normal office hours, including evenings and weekends, as and when required, to complete the work and meet deadlines.

A comprehensive remuneration package is being offered with excellent benefits and a salary in the range of USD 125,000 – 150,000 per annum depending on experience and ability. This is a one-year fixed-term contract and based on an in-office 40hr work week, with office hours being 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM, Monday to Friday.
