Senior Agricultural Sourcing Manager.

McCormick Global Ingredients Limited (MGIL), located in the Cayman Islands, is a global leader in the buying/selling of culinary spice and the development and product quality management at the source country to ensure product purity and integrity.

The role will be responsible for assigned categories and the development of global category strategies and programs to optimize cost, rationalize the supply base and bring value to the Corporation while mitigating risk. Includes coordinating and leading strategy execution activity.

RESPONSIBILITIES
• Accountable for the development and execution of strategies for circa $100m+ global spend. Lead supplier performance management through the negotiations of procured materials and services to assure optimal TCO (Cost, Quality, Delivery, Innovation) achieved;
• Promote customer satisfaction in supporting the needs of Divisional projects & requirements for Purchasing guidance & leadership. Engage with senior procurement personnel to ensure category alignment with regional strategies;
• Participate in the financial planning and forecasting process as well as provides periodic relevant market information and dynamics to internal stakeholders for all global regions
• Develop and documents in-depth knowledge of markets, supply chain, and suppliers. Assists with make-buy decisions; conducts formal presentations as well as coordinates and conducts supplier reviews. Develop exceptional market knowledge and trend analysis reporting on weather, farmer interest and conducting regular crop surveys
• Ensuring world class standards for sustainable sourcing our ingredients. e.g.) International community support including education, reforestation, disaster relief, economic infrastructure, community social needs and environmental stewardship & protection.

REQUIREMENTS
• Business Master’s Degree in Supply Chain, Business or applicable field of study required.
• 5 years minimum experience of sourcing Agricultural products desirable. Deep knowledge in Sustainability and Agronomy will be strategic advantages.
• 10 years of experience of working in Procurement – ideally in food industry (FMCG) combined with experience in Agricultural Commodities – at least 5 years
• Experience of working in a large multi-national organization preferable combined with solid experience of international and multicultural environments.
• At least 5 years of experience living and working in a developing country (Africa or Asia). + Availability and willingness to travel overseas several times a year (~20%)
• Proven ability to navigate complex international development contexts as well as deep understanding of local cultures, customs, and languages.
• Full professional Proficiency in French language (both oral & written) is a must.

COMPENSATION
Salary range US $145,000 to $160,000 per annum plus statutory benefits.
Full-time role with 40-45 hours per week. Office environment. Location: George Town.
