Interior Designer.

The Design Studio Ltd., is looking for an experienced Interior Designer.

They are seeking an experienced, detail-driven Interior Designer to join our high-end design practice. This position requires a proven ability to execute luxury residential and commercial projects, with expertise in:

• Custom millwork design and detailing of cabinetry, built-ins, and architectural features.
• Finish layouts including stone, tile, flooring, wall treatments, and ceiling design.
• Furniture design and specification, including custom pieces and collaborations with fabricators.
• Textile knowledge with a strong understanding of luxury fabrics, upholstery applications, and soft furnishings.
• Advanced CAD drawing production to develop design intent drawings, finish plans, elevations, sections, and detailed millwork/furniture packages.
• Site coordination with contractors, millworkers, and trades to ensure design integrity is achieved at every stage of construction and installation.
• Logistics management, including procurement, shipping coordination, customs clearance, container unloads, deliveries, and scheduling installations to meet project deadlines.

The successful candidate will assist senior designers with all aspects of project delivery and will be expected to operate independently on assigned projects from concept through completion.

Key responsibilities include:

• Preparing design presentations and specification packages, including finishes, fixtures, furnishings, and pricing.
• Producing and coordinating detailed CAD drawings, finish schedules, millwork, and furniture shop drawing reviews.
• Managing project schedules, budgets, logistics, and client communications.
• Overseeing site visits, progress reviews, and contractor coordination to ensure quality execution.
• Procuring, sourcing, and bidding for new projects with emphasis on luxury, custom-designed furnishings and textiles.
• Coordinating logistics workflows from overseas purchasing through to on-island delivery and installation.
• Supporting in-store operations through client consultations, custom quotes, and scheduled sales/merchandising shifts.
• Contributing to the studio’s creative presence through styling and social media engagement.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years’ experience as an Interior Designer with a strong portfolio of high-end projects.
• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Interior Design or a related field.
• Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD (or equivalent design software), with the ability to prepare full drawing and specification sets.
• Demonstrated knowledge of luxury finishes, millwork detailing, furniture design, textiles, logistics management, and project coordination.
• Strong organizational and client-facing communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with exceptional attention to detail.

Salary: KYD $55,000–$80,000 per annum, based on a 40 hour work week. Benefits are provided in accordance with the law.
