Position Summary
Pro Stars Ltd. is seeking an experienced Project Coordinator / Construction Manager to oversee and coordinate residential and commercial construction projects from inception through completion. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that projects are delivered safely, efficiently, on schedule, within budget and in accordance with approved plans, contractual requirements and applicable building standards.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Plan, coordinate and oversee construction projects from commencement to completion.
Develop and monitor project schedules, budgets, work programmes and timelines.
Supervise daily site operations, construction teams, subcontractors and other personnel.
Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, consultants and material deliveries.
Review project plans, drawings, specifications, contracts and scope-of-work requirements.
Monitor project progress, labour requirements, costs, productivity and quality of workmanship.
Prepare progress reports, budgets, cost estimates, site records and other project documentation.
Identify potential delays, risks or cost overruns and implement appropriate corrective measures.
Liaise with clients, architects, engineers, consultants, suppliers and regulatory authorities.
Assist with procurement, tendering, contract administration and material management.
Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with approved plans and specifications.
Ensure compliance with Cayman Islands building regulations, health and safety requirements and company policies.
Organise project meetings and communicate instructions, deadlines and progress updates to relevant parties.
Verify completed work and assist with project handover, inspections and close-out documentation.
Maintain accurate records of variations, approvals, invoices, purchase orders and subcontractor performance.
Resolve operational or technical issues promptly to minimise disruption to project delivery.
Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Project Management or a related field.
Minimum of five years’ relevant experience in construction management and project coordination.
Demonstrated experience managing residential and/or commercial construction projects.
Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, project planning, budgeting and site safety.
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, contracts and technical documents.
Proficiency in project-management software and Microsoft Office applications would be an asset.
Valid driver’s licence and the ability to travel between project sites as required.
