Operating asphalt paving machines to install new hot mix asphalt to roads and parking lots. Must have a minimum of 10 years’ verifiable extensive experience (required) operating various types of asphalt paving machines, especially Volvo/BlawKnox paving machines. Must have extensive knowledge in all aspects of paving machine operation and know how to achieve a consistent and precise mat thickness when laying hot mix asphalt pavements. Must also have previous experience using automatic grade and slope controls during paving operations. Only applicants meeting the above qualification will be interviewed. A test of skills and knowledge will be administered to qualified candidates. Must have a valid drivers’ license with a clean, police and driving record. Must be willing to work nights, weekends and holidays when required. Random drug testing may be required.
