ABOUT THE ROLE
Derma Ltd is seeking a warm, professional, and highly organized Medical Front Desk Secretary to join our team.
This is a highly patient-facing position and requires someone who is naturally friendly, personable, positive, and professional. The successful candidate will be an important first point of contact for our patients and will play a key role in creating an exceptional patient experience.
The ideal candidate will have strong medical administrative experience, excellent communication skills, knowledge of local health insurance processes, and a patient-focused approach. Experience with sales, medical aesthetics, skincare, or private healthcare is required.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Greet and assist patients in a warm, professional, and courteous manner.
Answer and manage incoming calls, emails, and patient inquiries.
Schedule, confirm, reschedule, and cancel patient appointments.
Register new patients and maintain accurate patient records.
Verify patient information and insurance eligibility.
Assist with insurance verification, billing, payments, and related documentation.
Communicate with patients regarding insurance coverage, co-payments, deductibles, and outstanding balances.
Coordinate patient flow and communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, and the clinical team.
Manage appointment reminders, follow-ups, and patient communications.
Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming reception area.
Maintain patient confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately.
Promote clinic services, treatments, and medical-grade skincare products in a professional, patient-focused manner.
Identify opportunities for appropriate follow-up appointments, treatments, and product recommendations.
Support patient retention, clinic promotions, and sales initiatives.
Use and maintain accurate patient information within the clinic's EMR and practice management systems.
Perform general administrative duties and support the medical team as required.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
Applicants must have a minimum of 3–5 years of experience working in a medical facility, clinic, doctor's office, or similar healthcare environment.
Candidates should have:

Experience with medical scheduling, patient registration, insurance verification, billing, and general medical administration.
Knowledge and practical experience with local health insurance companies and insurance processes.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong computer skills and familiarity with EMR or medical practice management systems.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive patient information.
Ability to work independently and effectively as part of a team.
A professional, positive, patient-oriented attitude.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
The following will be considered an advantage:

Experience in dermatology, medical aesthetics, plastic surgery, skincare, or private medical practice.
Sales, retail, customer service, or business development experience.
Experience using DrChrono or a similar EMR/practice management system.
Knowledge of medical-grade skincare products and dermatological treatments.
Knowledge of Cayman Islands health insurance providers and medical billing procedures.
Fluency in additional languages, particularly Spanish.
A qualification in Medical Reception, Medical Administration, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
Experience with patient retention, follow-up, appointment conversion, or CRM systems.
