The Admissions and Marketing Officer is responsible for supporting and enhancing the visibility, reputation, and brand identity of Cayman International School through high-quality, consistent visual and digital communications. The Officer serves as a key in-house resource for design, digital production, content creation, and brand stewardship, ensuring that communications across print and digital channels are professional, engaging, and aligned with the CIS brand.
Working closely with the Director of Admissions & Community Relations, the Officer develops and implements marketing and communication initiatives that showcase the CIS experience, strengthen community connections, and support student recruitment, enrollment, and retention. The Officer works collaboratively across the school to translate communication needs and ideas into polished, audience-appropriate materials, while ensuring that communications reflect the mission, values, and strategic priorities of CIS.
Role Requirements
• A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a marketing/branding role, preferably in an education/teaching environment
• Bachelor’s degree
• Exceptional visual design and digital production skills, with ability to create polished, professional materials across print, web, email, social media, presentations, signage, and other communication channels while maintaining a consistent organizational brand.
• Strong understanding of brand management and visual identity, including typography, layout, imagery, and the application of brand standards across an organization.
• Demonstrated ability to design and build digital communications, including newsletters, branded emails, email campaigns, forms, banners, and other digital assets, as well as manage mailing lists, imports, mail merges, and distribution processes.
• Excellent Canva/design skills with an eye for visual presentation.
• Strong proficiency in website design and content management, including the ability to conceptualize and redesign webpages, organize content for an effective user experience, and independently implement changes within a CMS platform.
• Experience preparing artwork and files for professional print and digital production, including resizing and adapting artwork to specifications and liaising directly with printers, media companies, and other external vendors.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Demonstrates initiative, creativity, and a proactive approach to identifying and completing tasks.
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, Canva, database platforms, and the ability to quickly learn and work confidently across new digital applications and systems.
Sample of Duties and Responsibilities
Design, Digital Production & Brand Management
o Design and produce high-quality visual communications across print and digital channels, including newsletters, email communications, social media, presentations, signage, advertisements, and promotional materials.
o Serve as an in-house design and brand resource, supporting departments across the school to ensure communications are polished, professional, and consistent with CIS visual standards.
o Prepare and adapt artwork for different applications and production specifications, liaising with printers, media companies, and other external vendors as required.
Digital Communications, Website, and Content Creation
o Develop and manage content across CIS communication channels, including the website, newsletters, email campaigns, social media, and other digital platforms.
o Maintain and develop the CIS website, including designing and implementing new or refreshed webpages within the CMS platform.
o Manage CIS social media platforms and create engaging written and visual content, including photography, video, reels, and graphics, that showcases the CIS experience.
o Manage the technical production and distribution of digital communications, including templates, mailing lists, imports, and mail merges.
o Assist with the development and preparation of school publications and marketing materials.
Community Relations & School Events
o Support the planning, communication, and promotion of admissions events, open houses, orientations, and community engagement activities.
o Create communications and promotional materials for major school events, initiatives, and institutional milestones.
o Curate and create digital content that showcases school events, activities, student achievements, athletics, and community initiatives, drawing on content contributed from across the CIS community.
Strategic Marketing, Enrollment Support and other Duties
o Support the development and execution of marketing and communications initiatives aligned with enrollment and retention goals.
o Develop campaigns, messaging, and promotional materials that support student recruitment and enrollment across all divisions.
o Collaborate with faculty, staff, students, and administrators to identify and promote stories and initiatives that showcase the CIS experience.
o Provide reception/front-office coverage as required, particularly during busy periods, events, or staff absences.
