Manager - Investor Services
Responsibilities for this position, together with the Investor Services Team, include daily client servicing, recording and review of complex capital transactions while meeting the very tight reporting deadlines and demanding obligations of Harmonic clients. Responsibilities include cash management; review/execution of bank, custody, and prime broker operating account documentation; and responding to client requests for information. The Manager will also be responsible for training team members in all aspects of proprietary systems and procedural workflow.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
General Responsibilities
- Managing day-to-day management/operations of the Investor Services team
- Work independently on all aspects of investor services for a large number of hedge fund accounts with a high volume of transactions and inquiries
- Respond to requests and inquiries from portfolio managers and investors
- Perform Anti-Money Laundering (AML) checks whilst displaying a comprehensive knowledge of the established practices, processes and procedures from various jurisdictions
- Compliance with documentation standards as they relate to investor qualification criteria under U.S. and other jurisdictional requirements (FATCA, OFAC, AIFMD etc.) and client constitutive documents
- Recording and review of compliance documentation for regulatory, anti-money laundering and know-your-customer standards
- Determine investors’ eligibility to invest in specific funds and assist with the onboarding of new investment vehicles
- Investor documentation review
- Manage relationships with new and existing investors
- Conduct overview of review process for incoming subscription funds
- Maintenance of member registers including responsibility for data integrity
- Assist with regulatory reporting
- Data entry related to investor attributes; maintain investor contact data
- Conduct ongoing investor prohibited-list checks; investigate and resolve any identified issues
- Ensure client communications are appropriately handled; assist with inbox, fax queue, telephone calls
- and emails as appropriate
- Recording transaction IDs in SharePoint system to incoming faxed documents
- Attach all documents related to transactions in FM3
- Set up wires for redemption payments
- Investor transaction processing
- Manager oversight of reconciling process
Reconciling Responsibilities
- Log all incoming subscription, redemption and transfer transactions in FM3
- Attach downloaded SWIFT reports to transaction entries in FM3
- Add review to pending subscriptions, redemptions and transfers in FM3
- Follow up on any AML needed for subscription, redemption or transfer orders
- Submit transfer requests to client for approval
Managerial Responsibilities
- Manage team resource allocation, conduct regular performance reviews, and oversee the recruitment
and training of Assistant Managers and other team members
- Training of Investor Services personnel in all aspects of FM3 and compliance
- Conduct performance reviews for direct reports
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
- Qualifications: A university graduate with a professional accounting qualification (CA, CPA, CGA, CMA or equivalent)
- Experience: 5+ years of experience working in a similar role or combined role working with complex securities and derivative products
- Knowledge: High level of expertise and technical knowledge of alternative investment products, operations and the offshore financial services industry including systems technology, valuation, some accounting, prime brokerage, financing and custody
TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS
- A sound knowledge of all Windows applications and knowledge of fund accounting
applications
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience working with FM3 software required

SALARY and BENEFITS
- Salary USD$ 90,000 to $ 115,000
