LAUNDRY ATTENDANT.

We are seeking an experienced Laundry Attendant with commercial laundry experience and a strong knowledge of different fabrics, textiles, and proper laundering procedures.
Must be able to work on Sundays and Public Holidays.
Must be able to lift 50lbs of more.

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Sort, inspect, and prepare clothing, linens, towels, uniforms, and other textile items for laundering.
• Operate commercial washing machines, dryers, pressing equipment, and other laundry machinery independently and safely.
• Measure and use appropriate detergents, chemicals, and cleaning products according to manufacturer instructions and established procedures.
• Select appropriate wash cycles, water temperatures, detergents, and drying settings based on fabric type and level of soiling.
• Wash and process large quantities of linens and other textile items in a commercial laundry environment.
• Identify and properly treat and remove stains using appropriate stain-removal procedures and products.
• Dry, press, iron, fold, and finish laundry items to the required quality standards.
• Handle delicate fabrics and specialty items using appropriate care procedures.
• Maintain laundry equipment and work areas in a clean, safe, and organized condition.
• Follow all health, safety, sanitation, and chemical-handling procedures.
• Load and unload commercial laundry equipment safely and efficiently.
• Keep accurate track of laundry loads and ensure items are processed within required timeframes.
• Report damaged or malfunctioning equipment and any damaged or heavily soiled items to management.
• Assist with packing, organizing, and storing clean linens and other laundry items.
• Perform other laundry-related duties as assigned.
