The Westin Grand Cayman Seven Mile Beach Resort & Spa invites qualified Caymanians, Cayman Status/RERC/ PR Holders to apply for the following position:

Laundry Attendant

The Laundry Attendant will handle high volumes of laundry items to ensure constant supply of clean linens whilst essentially maintaining our high standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction in a fast-paced hospitality environment. This role will support our housekeeping team in delivering exceptional guest experiences throughout the Resort.

Primary responsibilities for the Laundry Attendant role will include but not limited to the following:

• Collect, sort, and launder soiled linens, towels, and other items.
• Operate industrial washers, dryers, ironers, and folding machines safely and efficiently.
• Treat stains and perform reclaiming procedures on damaged or heavily soiled items as needed.
• Fold, press, stack, and organize clean linens neatly for distribution.
• Maintain accurate inventory records of linens and report any shortages, damages, or discrepancies.
• Re-stock closets and storage areas on guest floors and in housekeeping pantries in preparation for the day shift.
• Clean and organize the laundry room and surrounding areas.
• Perform basic maintenance checks on laundry equipment and report any malfunctions or repair needs promptly.
• Follow all health, safety, and chemical handling procedures.
• Assist with occasional housekeeping delivery requests if required during the shift.
• Adhere to resort sustainability practices, such as water and energy conservation.
• Other duties may be assigned based on business needs.

Required qualifications and experience:
• 3-4 years’ experience as Laundry Attendant in luxury resort environment required.
• Adequate knowledge of industrial laundry chemicals and stain removal techniques will be essential.
• Previous experience operating industrial washers, dryers, ironers and folding machines required.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods and handle repetitive tasks involving lifting, pushing, pulling heavy laundry carts up to 50 lbs.
• Must be able to work efficiently under hot/humid conditions in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent teamwork, communication, and organizational skills required.
• Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Must be able to work long hours as needed and a flexible schedule including early mornings, late evenings/nights, weekends and public holidays.
Pay range: C.I $6.56 - $7.00 hourly plus gratuities
