Job Summary – The Data Processing Supervisor supports the Data Processing Manager in achieving departmental objectives by providing leadership, oversight, and direction to team members.
This role is responsible for supervising daily operations, supporting associate development, and ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
The position operates in a fast-paced environment requiring strong multitasking abilities, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills. Professional conduct must be maintained at all times when interacting with internal and external stakeholders via telephone, email, and in person.
Job Duties
1. Supervise daily departmental operations, ensuring tasks are completed accurately and within defined timelines
2. Support the Data Processing Manager in planning and facilitating departmental meetings
3. Assist in the development and implementation of associate training programs.
4. Enforce company policies and ensure compliance across the department.
5. Collaborate with the Data Processing Manager to improve efficiency within the department.
6. Develop, review, and update departmental procedures and documentation.
7. Prepare and distribute daily and weekly performance and operational reports
8. Uphold the integrity and timeliness of business records, including invoices, inventory information, master data, and associated documentation
9. Allocate and prioritize workloads effectively across the team.
10. Identify and communicate issues related to productivity, quality, or compliance to management promptly
11. Lead by example, fostering a positive, respectful, and productive work environment.
12. Maintain open communications with Department Manager and Associates.
13. Ensure all communication, written and verbal, is conducted in a professional manner.
14. Assist Data Processing Associates with daily concerns, where help is needed, and approval is required.
15. Ensure all inbound cargo is declared accurately and on time.
16. Prepare proper documentation for Customs submissions
Requirements
1. Strong understanding of tariffs and duties of items.
2. Demonstrated knowledge of Customs Online System (COLS) import declaration processes and requirements.
3. Working knowledge of import logistics processes and invoice processing, ensuring accuracy and compliance with operational requirements.
4. Must read, write, and speak English fluently.
5. Strong understanding of basic retail terminology and operations.
6. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Teams, Outlook, Excel, Word, OneNote, and To-Do.
7. Must be competent in usage of Google Chrome and Windows File Explorer.
8. Highly organized, detail-oriented and self-motivated.
9. Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
10. Willingness to work extended hours, includes a six-day work week as required by business needs.
11. Prior experienced coaching, mentoring, or training associates is preferred.
12. Commitment to continuous professional development.
13. Minimum 2 years’ experience working within Foster’s Food Fair, Ltd.
14. Adherence to all company policies, procedures, and legal requirements.
