Wellness Coordinator
The Breast Cancer Foundation is seeking applications for the position of Wellness Coordinator to support the delivery and coordination of the Foundation’s Wellness Program. This role is central to ensuring that wellness services are delivered smoothly, efficiently, and with compassion to breast cancer patients and survivors.
The Wellness Coordinator will act as a key point of contact for programme participants and service providers, ensuring effective coordination of services, accurate record keeping, participant engagement, and appropriate monitoring of programme budgets.
Role Overview
The Wellness Coordinator will coordinate the day-to-day activities of the Wellness Programme, working closely with the Wellness Manager and wider Foundation team. The role requires excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, discretion, and a high level of empathy when working with individuals affected by breast cancer.
The successful candidate will be comfortable working in a busy, people-focused healthcare-support environment and will demonstrate a genuine commitment to supporting patients and survivors throughout their cancer journey.
Key Responsibilities
• Coordinate Wellness Programme logistics, including scheduling appointments, services, and programme activities
• Monitor support group participation and track individual participant engagement and milestones
• Monitor participant budgets to ensure services accessed remain within approved limits
• Liaise with wellness and healthcare service providers to coordinate appointments, schedules, and service delivery
• Act as a key point of contact for participants, responding to enquiries via email, telephone, and in person
• Maintain accurate, confidential, and up-to-date records for all program participants
• Prepare reports and updates to support programme oversight and financial accountability
• Monitor participant needs and ensure appropriate services and support are coordinated
• Ensure all interactions with participants are handled with sensitivity, compassion, confidentiality, and professionalism
• Support Wellness Programme activities at major fundraising and awareness events, as required
• Work collaboratively with other members of the Foundation team to ensure a coordinated approach to participant support
Skills and Experience Required
The successful candidate will demonstrate the following:
1. A minimum of two (2) years’ experience in a customer care or administrative role within a healthcare-related setting (hospital, medical office, insurance provider, or similar) – preferred
2. Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail
3. Effective written and verbal communication skills
4. Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information appropriately
5. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Outlook, and Excel, and comfort working with databases
6. A compassionate and patient approach, with an understanding of the needs of individuals affected by serious illness
7. Ability to liaise effectively with people from diverse backgrounds with empathy and respect
8. Strong multitasking skills and the ability to adapt in a dynamic environment
9. Punctual, reliable, and able to work independently when required
10. A clean driving license, access to a reliable vehicle, and Police Clearance
Working Conditions
• Full-time position (40 hours per week)
• Occasional evening and weekend work may be required
• Flexibility is essential, particularly to support major fundraising and awareness events
• Role is based onsite at Grand Harbour
Salary and Benefits
• Salary range: CI$40,000 – CI$45,000 per annum, dependent on experience and qualifications
• Pension and health insurance in accordance with statutory requirements
• 20 days paid annual vacation
