Senior Design Manager - Landscape Architecture.

JOB TITLE: SENIOR DESIGN MANAGER – LANDSCAPE ARCHITECTURE

SALARY: CI$110,000 - CI$140,000 pa

WORKING HOURS: 40 HOURS PER WEEK

TERM OF EMPLOYMENT: 2-year contract

We are seeking an experienced Senior Design Manager – Landscape Architecture to lead the planning, design, and delivery of projects across multiple stages of development. The successful candidate will collaborate with internal stakeholders, manage design consultants and in-house resources, coordinate with construction teams, and ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to the highest standards of quality, functionality, and design excellence.

DO YOU HAVE:

A bachelor’s degree in landscape architecture, with professional licensure in good standing and full membership in a recognized professional body (ASLA, IFLA, or equal)
A minimum 5 years’ post-graduation experience as a Landscape Architect/Designer within a reputable firm
A minimum 5 years’ experience working with USDA Plant Hardiness Zone 11b-13b plant material
A minimum of 1 year of experience managing at least $10 million of projects under construction
Experience delivering practical landscape/design solutions from concept to construction
Strong freehand sketching and AutoCAD skills, with the ability to communicate design concepts and technical solutions effectively
Experience leading multidisciplinary design teams and managing project schedules, budgets, and stakeholder expectations
Knowledge of design and construction in tropical, coastal, or hurricane-prone environments
Experience preparing construction documentation, including site details, grading, materials selection, and planting plans
Strong project management, teamwork, communication, leadership, business writing and reporting skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite and Rhino is required
Experience with SketchUp, REVIT and 3D modeling software is an asset

WE WANT YOU TO:

Lead and manage multiple projects from concept through construction completion
Liaise with internal stakeholders to define project scopes, requirements, and implementation plans
Develop and oversee design solutions, drawings, specifications and project documentation
Manage in-house design resources and coordinate external consultants throughout the design process
Prepare and evaluate RFP’s, consultant proposals, and design team requirements
Monitor project schedules, approvals, budgets, quality standards, and code compliance
Coordinate closely with construction teams to align design and delivery objectives
Conduct site inspections, resolve design issues, and ensure successful project execution
Develop and monitor the preparation and issuing of as-built drawings by all relevant disciplines
Facilitate project meetings and maintain effective communication between all stakeholders
