We are seeking a highly skilled and self-motivated, experienced Senior Automotive Technician to join our growing team. In this advanced role, you will be responsible for independently diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of vehicles to the highest standards of quality and safety. You will serve as a key technical expert and may provide guidance to junior technicians, ensuring work is completed efficiently, accurately, and in accordance with manufacturer specifications.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Perform complex diagnostics and mechanical repairs on various vehicle makes and models (spe-cifically in European vehicles i.e., BMW, Mercedes, Audi, Porsche, required) including engine, transmission, brake, steering, and electrical systems.
• Utilize advanced diagnostic tools (e.g., Autel, All Data, Pro Demand) to troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, coding/programming, ECU/DME, and electronic issues.
• Conduct pre-delivery inspections, routine maintenance, and major component overhauls including turbo and performance upgrades.
• Inspect incoming parts, assemblies, and final repairs to ensure conformance with OEM and company quality standards.
• Maintain accurate work records in software systems (e.g., VIPS or similar platforms).
• Support and mentor assistant technicians and apprentices as needed.
• Ensure consistent compliance with company safety procedures and participate in regular safety training.
• Maintain personal tool inventory and ensure tools are used and stored properly.
• Proven ability to work independently on complex diagnostic and repairs, uphold production standards, meet performance metrics, and maintain high levels of workmanship.
• Conduct quality assurance checks and road tests to verify repairs.
• Recommend repairs and services based on diagnostics and inspections.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of assigned work area and equipment.
• Assist with shop operations, inventory control, and identifying process improvements.
• other duties as required by management.
EDUCATION &/OR EXPERIENCE
• High school diploma or equivalent (technical/vocational training preferred).
• Minimum of 15+ years of proven experience as an automotive technician or mechanic (with European vehicles preferred).
• Advanced knowledge of complex automotive systems, diagnostics, repair procedures, and safety practices.
• Proficient with OEM diagnostic software and tools, including Autel Scan Tools, All Data, and Pro Demand.
• Major OEM dealership experience is strongly preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with ability to pass a driver safety test (80% or higher).
• Must pass a pre-employment skills assessment.
• Requires personal ownership of standard and specialty hand tools relevant to the role.
• Skilled in Microsoft Excel and general computer applications related to automotive work.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong communication skills, including the ability to explain technical issues to non-technical individuals.
• Ability to handle confidential information appropriately.
• Capable of lifting up to 70 pounds and performing physically demanding tasks.
WORKING CONDITIONS
• Manual dexterity and physical stamina, lift heavy objects, and walk and stand for extended periods of time Must be able to work in confined or tight spaces when required.
• Willingness to wear a company uniform and maintain professional appearance and hygiene.

• Flexibility to work afterhours, on Sundays, and public holidays when necessary.
