Senior Associate.

Summary: The Senior Trader will provide timely and accurate review and approval of custody & trading transactions, in a risk aware manner and ensure that all clients receive top quality service.
Responsibilities:
• Execute trade instructions on a timely basis for clients
• Assist in developing and maintaining positive relationships with broker dealers
• Monitor portfolio positions, market structures and risk on a daily basis
• Investigate and respond promptly to queries from clients regarding custody trades or holdings to ensure risks are mitigated
• Prepare trade confirmations and send out promptly to clients
• Update transactions (buys and sells) on the Custody system
• Monitor Corporate Actions on sub-custodian platforms and action accordingly
• Active involvement in the on-boarding of new clients, broker and custodians
• Assist in organizing the Cayman Islands Office Business Development activities
• Assist Custody team with daily reconciliations as required
• Assist with the on boarding of clients and relevant processes
• Ensure that new securities are uploaded correctly into the portfolio management system utilizing Bloomberg and other relevant pricing sources
• Work with trade desk team to ensure all fund documents are delivered to administrators on a timely basis
• Follow-up and coordinate with administrators to confirm fund transactions are executed on-time and payments are released by Banking operations within the mandated timeframe
• Organizes and maintains files system, and files correspondence and other records
• Assist in the development and monitoring of policies and procedural manuals that contribute to the efficiency of the department while also ensuring timely and accurate delivery of service and regulatory compliance
• Assist in projects relating to the rollout of new systems or upgrade of systems by testing and providing feedback to the Project Manager

Requirements:
• Minimum of 3 years post-qualification experience in a banking operations role, with other relevant experience advantageous
• Must have 3 years of experience in trade execution or middle office processing
• Must have an undergraduate degree with a Business focus or an accounting or securities industry qualification
• Experience in Canadian/US equity and bond market experience as well as global FX markets.
• Experience with digital assets trading (e.g., cryptocurrencies and tokenized securities), including execution, settlement, and custody considerations
• Experience in DTC, Euroclear and Clearstream
• Experience with completing fund subscription/redemption documentation
• Knowledge of market trade execution, affirmation and settlement process
• Understanding of the FX, equity, fixed income, alternative investment and derivative markets
• Strong working knowledge of all trading matters including fund of funds and risk assessment
• Experience using the following software is essential; Trader, Bloomberg & Banking systems.
• Other trading and custody software understanding would be useful
• Advanced MS Office user experience
• Strong command of the English language both verbal and written, including report writing, business and client correspondences and procedure manuals
