Programme Director – School of Nursing.

OVERVIEW
The Programme Director – School of Nursing provides academic, instructional, and administrative leadership for the Nursing programme at UCCI. This role is responsible for programme management, accreditation, curriculum development, faculty supervision, and student success. The post holder will ensure the programme aligns with UCCI’s mission, strategic goals, and regulatory requirements, while preparing skilled healthcare professionals for the community. The role also includes teaching one (1) course per semester.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
• Master’s degree in Nursing Education, Administration, or Leadership.
• Minimum 10 years’ experience as a nursing educator.
• At least 5 years’ experience in nursing education administration.
• Eligibility for registration with the Cayman Islands Nursing and Midwifery Council.
• Strong knowledge of nursing education standards, accreditation, and regulations.
• Proven experience in student success, programme development, and recruitment.
• Demonstrated leadership and staff management capabilities.
• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

ACADEMIC LEADERSHIP & PROGRAMME MANAGEMENT
• Lead the organization, planning, and continuous review of the Nursing programme.
• Maintain programme accreditation and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
• Develop curriculum and enhance teaching and learning within the department.
• Prepare and manage programme budgets, resources, and infrastructure.
• Recruit, supervise, mentor, and evaluate faculty and adjunct instructors.

STUDENT AFFAIRS
• Oversee student admissions, progression, and graduation processes.
• Ensure students meet requirements for professional examinations (RENR).
• Handle student advisement, appeals, and overall student support.

CLINICAL & EXTERNAL RELATIONS
• Develop and maintain partnerships with clinical agencies.
• Coordinate clinical placements and supervise preceptors.
• Liaise with regulatory bodies and stakeholders locally and internationally.

COMMUNICATIONS, MARKETING & OUTREACH
• Promote the Nursing programme through outreach and recruitment activities.
• Collaborate with internal teams on marketing and community engagement.
• Build relationships with schools, industry, and public sector partners.

Salary: KYD $97,860 – $128,388 Per Annum
Employer-covered medical; co-contributory pension and annual leave.
