Job Overview
Dependable Construction & Repair is seeking an experienced, hard-working, and versatile Painter / Mason to carry out residential and commercial repair, renovation, and construction projects across Grand Cayman. The candidate must be skilled in both trade areas, capable of completing tasks with high attention to detail and minimal supervision.

Key Duties & Responsibilities
Painting:

Prepare interior and exterior surfaces by scraping, sanding, wire-brushing, patching drywall/plaster, caulking, and pressure washing.

Apply primers, sealers, paints, stains, and protective coatings using brushes, rollers, and sprayers.

Ensure clean lines, proper surface adhesion, uniform coverage, and thorough job-site masking/protection.

Masonry & Repairs:

Lay concrete blocks, bricks, and decorative stone to line and level.

Mix mortar, grout, plaster, and concrete to specified consistencies.

Form, pour, level, float, and finish concrete walkways, slabs, curbs, and steps.

Execute exterior rendering, plastering, stucco repairs, and structural crack remediation.

General Site Support:

Erect and work safely from ladders, scaffolding, and staging platforms.

Maintain tools, clean mixing stations, and ensure daily site cleanup meets safety standards.

Qualifications & Requirements
Experience: 6+ years of proven, hands-on experience in painting and masonry (a minimum of 4 to 5 years will be considered for candidates demonstrating strong competence).

Solid technical understanding of surface prep, paint finishes, concrete mixtures, and plastering techniques.

Physical fitness and stamina to handle heavy lifting (up to 50+ lbs), climbing, bending, and working outdoors in warm tropical conditions.

Strong reliability, punctuality, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.

Clean police record.
