Auto Body Painter.

Advance Automotive Ltd. is seeking an experienced and skilled Auto Body Painter to join our Body Shop team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing, painting, blending, and refinishing vehicles to dealership and manufacturer standards, ensuring high-quality finishes, accurate color matching, and excellent customer satisfaction.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities
• Assess vehicle damage and determine appropriate preparation and refinishing requirements.
• Prepare vehicle surfaces through sanding, masking, priming, sealing, and related processes.
• Mix and accurately match paint colors to achieve manufacturer-quality finishes.
• Apply basecoat, paint, clear coat, and other finishes using professional spray equipment.
• Perform touch-ups, blending, and refinishing to restore vehicles to pre-accident condition.
• Ensure all work meets OEM, dealership, and quality standards.
• Work closely with body technicians and Team Lead to maintain efficient workflow and communicate job status.
• Meet established productivity, quality, and performance targets.
• Properly operate, clean, maintain, and care for spray guns, paint equipment, and personal tools.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe paint booth and work area.
• Follow all health, safety, environmental, and hazardous material handling requirements, including proper use of PPE.
• Maintain and develop technical skills by keeping current with new paint products, equipment, technologies, and refinishing techniques.
• Perform other duties as reasonably assigned by management.

Qualifications
• Minimum 7 years of professional automotive painting/refinishing experience.
• Proven experience with surface preparation, paint application, color matching, blending, and clear-coat application.
• Experience working with professional spray equipment and automotive paint systems.
• Strong knowledge of automotive refinishing processes and OEM quality standards.
• Ability to produce consistent, high-quality finishes with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and manage assigned jobs efficiently.
• Strong commitment to safety, quality, productivity, and customer satisfaction.
• Must have a valid Cayman Islands driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently and as part of a team.

Average Monthly Salary is CI$2,400.00 - $3,500.00 and will commensurate with experience and qualifications. Benefits include paid vacation, contributory pension and medical.

Job Location: George Town

Hours of Work: Mon-Fri 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. & Sat 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Working Conditions: Full-time permanent position based at an automotive dealership. Standard 45-hour work week, Monday to Saturday. Work is performed in an automotive body shop and paint booth environment with exposure to paints, solvents, fumes, dust, noise, heat, and other refinishing materials. The role requires consistent use of appropriate PPE and involves prolonged standing, bending, reaching, crouching, and occasional lifting and handling of tools and vehicle components. The employee must maintain a clean and safe work area, follow all health and safety requirements.
