JOB VACANCY: MECHANIC ASSISTANT Employer: Dale C Savoury T/A Xperienced Mobile Mechanic & Repair Location: 254 Marina Drive, George Town, Grand Cayman Job Type: Full-Time (40 hours per week) Rate of Pay: CI$10.00 per hour Benefits: Health Insurance, Pension, and Paid Vacation (as mandated by Cayman Islands Law) Job Overview & Duties:Mechanical Repair & Servicing: Assist senior mechanics in carrying out routine maintenance, engine diagnostics, brake replacements, tune-ups, and automotive repairs on various vehicle makes and models. Mobile Field Support: Assist with on-site and roadside automotive repairs and maintenance services across Grand Cayman. Tool & Equipment Maintenance: Prepare, inspect, clean, and maintain mechanic tools, diagnostic scanners, and specialized equipment before and after jobs. Parts & Inventory Assistance: Retrieve, organize, and handle automotive spare parts, fluids, and supplies required for scheduled jobs. Safety & Workplace Standards: Ensure full compliance with garage safety protocols, proper disposal of hazardous fluids, and tidy work environments. Qualifications & Requirements:at least 5-10 years of proven practical experience as a mechanic assistant or automotive trade helper (Note: Qualified applicants with less than 10 years of experience will also be considered).
