MASON HELPER.

The Mason Helper is responsible for assisting the Mason and construction team with general masonry and construction activities while maintaining a safe, clean, and organized work environment.

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Assist the Mason with block laying, brickwork, concrete work, plastering, rendering, and general masonry tasks.
• Mix and prepare cement, mortar, concrete, and other construction materials as instructed.
• Measure, carry, load, unload, and organize blocks, bricks, cement, sand, tools, and other materials.
• Prepare work areas and ensure the Mason has the necessary materials and tools available.
• Assist with measuring, cutting, and preparing materials as required.
• Operate and maintain basic hand tools and equipment safely.
• Assist with setting up and dismantling work areas, scaffolding, ladders, and protective coverings as directed.
• Clean and maintain tools, equipment, and work areas before, during, and after each job.
• Remove construction debris and dispose of waste appropriately.
• Assist with demolition, repairs, and preparation of surfaces when required.
• Follow instructions from the Mason, Foreman, Supervisor, or Project Manager.
• Follow all company health and safety procedures and properly use required personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Report hazards, unsafe working conditions, damaged tools, or equipment issues to the Supervisor.
• Take care when handling materials and ensure finished work and surrounding areas are protected from damage.
• Assist with loading, unloading, and securing tools, equipment, and materials at the end of the workday.
• Maintain a professional and cooperative attitude when working with coworkers, clients, and other trades.
• Perform other reasonable duties related to the position as assigned by management.
