KITCHEN HELPER/ CASHIER.

The primary role is to support kitchen operations by preparing ingredients, maintaining cleanliness, and assisting cooks to ensure timely, safe food service. Occasionally, you will cover the register and handle customer transactions, providing friendly service during busy periods or as needed.

Primary (Kitchen Helper) responsibilities

• Prep ingredients: wash, peel, chop, measure, and portion according to recipes.
• Assist cooks: assemble dishes, perform basic cooking tasks, and follow chef instructions.
• Clean and sanitize: wash dishes, utensils, equipment, and work surfaces; follow cleaning schedules.
Stock and rotate supplies (FIFO), receive deliveries, and report low or damaged inventory.
• Plate, package, and stage orders for service or delivery.
• Follow food safety and hygiene rules (temperature control, cross-contamination prevention).
• Maintain and perform basic care of kitchen equipment; report faults.

Secondary (Cashier) responsibilities

• Operate POS: process cash/card payments and issue receipts.
• Provide friendly customer service, bag orders, and verify order accuracy.
• Handle exchanges and escalate issues when necessary.
• Balance cash drawer and follow cash-handling and loss-prevention procedures.
• Promote specials or loyalty programs when appropriate.
