Junior I.T Technician.

Description:

The Information Systems Specialist provides technical support for computers and associated networks in a Managed Services environment. The role includes delivering face-to-face technical support to customers. The successful candidate will work eight (8)-hour shifts scheduled between 5:00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m., supporting a twenty-four (24)-hour operational environment. This position requires security clearance from both local and international security organizations.

Responsibilities:

• Onsite duties require quick responses to end-user problems
• Perform repair, installation, and maintenance of applications on kiosks and personal computers.
• Work with remote engineers to troubleshoot system hardware, provide desktop support, and set up printers, etc.
• Assist with network connectivity, cabling, and networking hardware, including routers and switches, in a managed services environment.
Requirements:

• Two years of experience as a field service technician in a technical support role.
• A college associate degree and/or equivalent IT training and certification are required.
• Experience supporting a range of hardware and peripheral components on-site environment
• Experience in network connectivity/cabling and networking
• Experience working directly in a customer service role.
• High level of communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work in a high-pressure environment during the restoration of failed critical systems
