A Heavy Duty Mechanic is responsible for the following:
Maintenance and repair work on all types of vehicles and equipment.
Carrying out planned maintenance.
Attending to equipment breakdowns.
Inspection and diagnosis of equipment’s hydraulic systems and mechanical functions.
Overhauling and rebuilding hydraulic and mechanical components.
Carry out Diagnosis and repairs on basic electrical components and systems.
Fabricate hydraulic hoses.
Provide service quotations to customers.
Provide service work order with a detailed work narrative for billing purposes.
