Employment Type: Full-Time (45 hours per week)

Remuneration: CI$ 10.00 – CI$ 15.00 per hour

Labourers: Starting at CI$ 10.00 per hour

Skilled Tradesmen: Up to CI$ 15.00 per hour (commensurate with trade experience and skill level)

Position Summary

Seeking eight (8) reliable, hardworking, and experienced construction professionals to join active commercial and residential building sites across Grand Cayman. The team requires experienced tradesmen (Carpenters, Masons, Steelmen, Tilers, Painters) and general site Labourers capable of executing heavy-duty physical construction tasks safely and efficiently.

Key Duties & Responsibilities by Role

Carpenters: Read structural plans to construct, erect, install, and repair wooden and alternative material frameworks, forms for concrete pours, partitions, roof trusses, decking, subflooring, doors, and window frames with minimal supervision.

Masons: Prepare and lay building materials such as concrete blocks, brick, and stone; perform structural foundation works, slab prep, wall plastering, screeding, rendering, and concrete finishes.

Steelmen (Steel Fixers): Interpret structural drawings to cut, bend, position, assemble, and wire-tie reinforcing steel bars (rebar) and mesh grids inside concrete forms prior to pouring.

Tilers: Prepare subfloors and wall surfaces; measure, cut, lay, and grout ceramic, porcelain, and stone tiles to exact alignment and leveling standards.

Painters: Prepare surfaces by power-washing, scraping, caulking, and sanding; prime and apply paint, stains, and protective coatings to interior and exterior surfaces using brushes, rollers, and spray guns.

Labourers: Provide physical support to tradesmen; unload, transport, and distribute building materials; mix concrete and mortar; dig trenches; operate small machinery; and maintain clean, hazard-free job sites daily.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Experience: Minimum of 5–6 years of verified hands-on experience in the specific trade applied for (Carpentry, Masonry, Steel, Tiling, Painting). Demonstrable site experience required for Labourers.

Technical Competence: Proficient in the safe operation of industry hand and power tools, measuring instruments, and staging equipment.

Autonomy: Proven ability to carry out assignments accurately with minimal supervision while maintaining high craft standards.

Physical Fitness: Capable of working outdoors in high temperatures, standing/kneeling for extended durations, climbing ladders and scaffolding, and lifting loads up to 50+ lbs safely.

Workplace Safety: Strict adherence to site safety protocols, occupational health regulations, and proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
