Employer: Mark Woollard trading as Knockout Fitness.
Location: Grand Cayman (mobile role across all districts).
Employment Type: Commission-based earnings of up to CI$50 per one-hour training session; compliant with the Cayman Islands National Minimum Basic Wage for each hour worked (currently CI $8.75 per hour).
Hours: Up to 40 hours per week, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
Leave: Annual vacation and sick leave provided at statutory minimum levels under the Labour Act (2021 Revision), initially 2 weeks’ vacation, 10 days sick leave.
Pension: Contributions in accordance with the National Pensions Act (2024 Revision); total 10% of pensionable earnings, (5% employer + 5% employee).
Health Insurance: Employer‑provided coverage meeting the Standard Health Insurance Contract (SHIC) requirement, with the employer paying 50% of the premium in accordance with the Health Insurance Law.
Public Holidays: Paid public holidays as required by law; where an employee works on a public holiday, they will receive double Basic Wage for hours worked, plus normal pay for unworked hours of a standard day.
About the Role:
Knockout Fitness provides mobile fitness services delivered at client residences, public spaces and third-party gymnasiums, with a strong focus on boxing-based personal training. Services include general personal training, strength and conditioning, cardio and functional fitness, mobility coaching, boxing-based fitness sessions with controlled light contact sparring, small group fitness sessions, and basic fitness assessments.
Marketing support will be provided; however, employees are expected to contribute to the generation of their own client base.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience (Required):
• AIBA Boxing Coach Certification or comparable boxing‑coaching qualification.
• Prior experience (at least 3 years) delivering general fitness training (including boxing fitness training) to clients in a gym or comparable fitness environment.
• Completion of recognised personal trainer qualifications such as NASM CPT or equivalent formal fitness‑trainer education.
• CPR and AED certification.
• Experience designing and leading structured fitness sessions, including strength and conditioning, cardio training and functional movement.
• Demonstrated experience with boxing‑based fitness, such as pad work, basic drills and boxing‑fitness class instruction.
• Strong communication and client‑service skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends and public holidays.
• Ability to generate own client base.
• Valid Cayman Islands driver’s licence or eligibility to obtain one.
• Ability to travel across Grand Cayman for client sessions (expenses will be reimbursed).
Preferred Qualifications and Experience (Not Required but Advantageous)
• Advanced‑level boxing‑coaching certification from a recognised institution.
• Experience coaching competitive or high‑performance boxers at club, national or international level.
• Demonstrated record of athlete development or team‑coaching leadership.
• Experience developing nutrition‑aware training plans for general wellness.
• Bilingual English and Spanish communication ability.
• Experience in group fitness instruction or outdoor circuit training.
