DRIVER/TOUR GUIDE.

Hospitality Tours Ltd, T/A Majestic Tours, is currently seeking qualified candidates for the position of Driver/Tour Guide. The selected individual will be expected to work 30 hours per week with Majestic Tours and an additional 15 hours per week with Island Tours Ltd, T/A Platinum Tours.

The job of driver/ tour guide is a very straightforward position. Applicant will be a driver/tour guide and will be required to do transfers and tours where they inform guests about the island and its history when doing a tour. Training is provided by our company, and a friendly, well-groomed person with an outgoing personality is a must, as you will be face-to-face with tourists daily.
The applicant will be picking up guests and transporting them to and from the airport, and also transporting guests to other locations on the island, such as attractions and restaurants. Applicants will also have to tour guests coming off the cruise ships.

Qualifications:
Applicants should be 25 years old and above due to insurance requirements and have held a valid driver's license for at least 5 years in the category of vehicle being hired to drive. Successful applicants should know the island and its attractions. Have a valid CI Group 3 or 4 driver's license. Successful applicants will have to apply through our company to the Public Transport Board (PTB)to be able to drive a tour bus. The PTB application process includes a fitness-to-drive medical exam with a drug test, police and traffic records, and proof of a Valid CI Group 3 or greater driver's license.
There is also a written exam as part of the PTB application. Before taking the exam, the applicant will receive study material that has all of the island information in it to sit the general knowledge exam. This process will be explained in more detail to the applicant during the interview.
The applicant must be healthy enough to lift 50 lbs. (guest luggage).
