Productions of Paradise is seeking a professional DJ to curate and mix recorded music for live audiences at events like weddings and corporate functions. Key responsibilities include selecting appropriate music, seamlessly blending tracks, and using technical equipment to manipulate audio and lighting. Select and build music libraries to suit the audience, event type, and venue. Blend tracks smoothly using techniques like beatmatching and crossfading, often manipulating tempo and volume. Set up and operate audio equipment and software, as well as lighting and visual effects. Read the crowd's energy to keep the atmosphere lively. Take requests, make announcements, or host shows. For events, provide transportation, set up and dismantle equipment, and plan music for the entire event—with expertise in DJ software and hardware. A broad understanding of various music genres and the ability to identify music that fits different events and crowds. Develop a unique style and strong communication abilities to interact with clients and audiences.
