Director of Finance & Accounting.

We are seeking an accomplished finance and accounting professional, with extensive hedge fund accounting experience to join our newly established hedge fund as Director of Finance and Accounting. This senior leadership role will oversee all aspects of fund accounting, general accounting, financial reporting, and investor support, while serving as the primary liaison with our Fund Administrator and key advisor to the Investment Manager.
The ideal candidate will combine deep technical expertise with strong leadership capabilities and an understanding of the Cayman Islands regulatory environment. This is a unique opportunity to build and lead the finance function of a dynamic, international investment platform.

Key Responsibilities
• Lead the fund accounting function, including NAV oversight, reconciliations, investor allocations, and reporting.
• Act as the primary point of contact with the Fund Administrator, ensuring timely and accurate service delivery.
• Oversee general accounting and financial reporting for the Investment Manager, including financial statements, management reporting, and cash management.
• Manage investor communications, including capital calls, subscriptions/redemptions, queries, and periodic reporting.
• Ensure compliance with Cayman Islands hedge fund accounting, audit, and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate with the AMLCO, MLRO, auditors, tax advisors, and legal counsel on audits, filings, and regulatory submissions.
• Collaborate across Cayman, Canada, and Singapore offices to support international operations and growth.
• Establish best-in-class financial processes, controls, and systems to support the fund’s expansion.

Qualifications & Experience
• Professional accounting designation (CPA, CA, ACCA, or equivalent) required.
• Extensive hedge fund accounting experience is mandatory.
• Demonstrated track record in a finance leadership role with responsibility for fund accounting, financial reporting, and investor relations.
• Strong knowledge of Cayman Islands regulatory and compliance frameworks.
• Proven ability to manage service providers and represent the fund effectively to auditors, investors, regulators and other third parties.
• In-depth technical expertise in fund structures, valuation methodologies, and reporting standards.
• Strong leadership presence, excellent communication skills, and entrepreneurial drive.
