We are seeking a counsel to join our growing team.

ABOUT US
We launched in 2022 with the aim or building a law firm that served its clients and employees better than “Big Law.” We are a boutique Cayman law firm specializing in litigation, insolvency and regulatory law. We combine cutting edge commercial litigation expertise with deep experience in financial crime and regulatory law. We act on high profile, big-ticket litigation cases in the Financial Services Division of the Grand Court.

RESPONSIBILITIES
• Manage complex commercial litigation, insolvency, and regulatory matters from inception through resolution.
• Develop case strategy, conduct legal research, and prepare pleadings, affidavits, submissions, and court applications.
• Advise clients on litigation risks, regulatory issues, investigations, and dispute resolution strategies.
• Appear before courts and tribunals where appropriate and liaise with external counsel, experts, and other advisers.
• Act as a primary client contact, delivering practical, commercial, and responsive legal advice.
• Supervise and mentor junior lawyers and contribute to team development.
• Assist with business development, networking, client relationship management, and profile-raising activities.
• Support the firm's continued growth by contributing to its culture, strategic objectives, and operational development.
• Lead major litigation and regulatory matters with minimal supervision.
• Manage key client relationships and act as a trusted adviser.
• Generate new business opportunities and contribute to firm revenue growth.
• Provide technical leadership and mentoring across the team.
• Play an active role in shaping the firm's long-term strategy and development.

REQUIREMENTS
• Must be admitted or eligible to be admitted in the Cayman Islands. The eligibility requirement is 5+ years’ PQE in the UK, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, Ireland or another Commonwealth country.
• Applicants must possess a minimum of 10+ years litigation experience.

WE OFFER
Generous compensation in the range of USD160,000 to USD200,000 per annum and commission. Unrivalled training, mentoring and development opportunities. A high degree of flexibility, health insurance and pension benefits. This is a full-time position. Flexible office hours are Monday-Friday 9 am to 5 pm. As a professional, overtime may be required and no additional remuneration will be paid for hours worked outside office hours.
