The role involves providing senior legal advice on corporate, funds, finance transactions and regulatory compliance, with a strong focus on complex transactions, Cayman Islands and international regulatory developments, and client relationship management. Responsibilities include leading major corporate matters, overseeing regulatory compliance (including AML/KYC), conducting due diligence and supporting a CIMA-regulated company management business. The position also has a strong business development element, including public speaking, industry engagement, and brand building.
The role requires a minimum of 10 years’ experience as a regulatory and / financial services lawyer, some of which must be in the practice of Cayman Islands law.
Compensation includes a salary range of US$170,000 – US$230,000 plus a discretionary bonus depending on experience, full health insurance, telephone plan and statutory pension contributions.
