Core Duties and Responsibilities
· Diagnosing Issues: Finding mechanical and electrical problems using computerized diagnostic tools and manual inspections.
· Routine Maintenance: Performing standard vehicle upkeep like oil changes, fluid level checks, tire rotations, and lubrications.
· Repairs and Replacements: Fixing or swapping out worn, damaged, or broken parts such as brake pads, sensors, wheel bearings, and belts.
· Testing Systems: Test-driving vehicles and using specialized equipment to make sure repairs meet manufacturer standards.
· Communication: Explaining necessary repairs, costs, and timelines clearly to service advisors or customers.
· Record Keeping: Documenting all services performed, parts used, and inspection findings on work orders or computer systems.
· Shop Safety: Keeping the work area clean, following safety rules, and maintaining tools in proper working conditions.
