WELDER / FLAME CUTTER.

Job Title - A welder/flame cutter is responsible for assembling, repairing, and fabricating metal components using high-heat equipment and welding techniques such as MIG, TIG, Stick, and Plasma Arc Welding.
Job Description
• This position demands you to be qualified in the welding of metals such as Stairs, railings, gates, platforms, and numerous other fabrication of Aluminum / Steel or Iron Works.
• Working on your own is a necessity and you will at times be required to work off your own measurements on various projects which may be assigned to you.
• Keen attention and professionalism must be always displayed to avoid wastage of materials.
• Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints to understand project specifications.
• Perform in shop layouts. Fabricate and install as per specifications.
• Measure and cut metal components to precise dimensions.
• Clean and prepare metal surfaces by removing rust, grease, or contaminants.
• Preheat workpieces when necessary.
• Align and clamp metal components using calipers, rulers, and braces.
• Weld in different positions (flat, vertical, overhead).
• Set up, maintain, and operate welding equipment safely.
• Use grinders, saws, and torches for cutting and shaping metal.
• Inspect and test welds for flaws and structural integrity.
• Repair damaged components and fill gaps as needed.
• Follow safety protocols and wear protective gear (gloves, masks, boots).
• Maintain a clean and hazard-free work environment.

Work Environment: Residential, Commercial, Marine, & Industrial such as Construction Sites & Power Plant. Exposure to High Heat, Noise, Hazardous Materials, Fumes from Welding Gas, Paint Odor and Vapors, Bright Light from Welding Arcs, Dust & Metal Particles. Physical Activities such as Standing for long periods, bending and Lifting Heavy Materials.

Salary & Benefits: Hourly Rate: $13.00 – 15.00 KYD (rate depends on experience, skills & qualifications). Health Insurance, Pension & Annual Paid Vacation.
Working Hours: Standard Per Week: 45 hours / Per Month: 180-225 hours.

Required qualifications, skills and experience: 5 years of welding work experience and Welding certificates.
