We are seeking a qualified and experienced Watersports Supervisor to independently manage the day-to-day operations of various watersports activity for our Rum Point and East End (Morritts) locations.
This is a hands-on supervisory role requiring strong leadership, sound decision-making and the ability to manage daily operations with minimal supervision. The successful candidate will receive general oversight and support from the Watersports Manager when needed but must be confident managing the operation, staff and guest experience independently.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
· Manage and coordinate the daily operations of the watersports department
· Oversee a range of activities, including sailing, kayaking, wave runners, catamaran excursions and diving services
· Operate and captain company vessels as required, ensuring the safety of guests, crew and equipment.
· Supervise a team of six or more employees, including assigning daily duties, monitoring performance and ensuring adequate staffing
· Provide on-the-job training, feedback and support to maintain high safety, service and operational standards
· Enforce company policies, safety procedures and timekeeping requirements
· Will be required to conduct water safety and backboard training for staff.
· Ensure all activities and equipment are operated safely and in accordance with company procedures
· Respond to guest concerns, operational issues, emergencies and safety incidents in a calm and professional manner
· Communicate with the Watersports Manager regarding staffing, incidents, equipment maintenance and other operational matters
· Manage activity bookings using Peek Pro
· Support and coordinate watersports activities at both locations
· Promote a positive and professional working environment while maintaining excellent guest service
Job Skills and Requirements
· Minimum of four years’ experience in watersports operations or a similar environment
· Previous supervisory experience, including responsibility for a 5+ people
· Strong knowledge of beach operations, water safety and guest service
· IYT small power boat and rib master
· Open water scuba diving certification and familiarity with dive operations.
· First aid certification.
· Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.
· Ability to work independently, use initiative and make sound operational decisions.
· Strong organizational, time-management and problem-solving skills.
· Valid driver’s license and must be at least 25 years old for insurance purposes.
· Available to work weekends and public holidays as required.
