DECKHAND.

Capt. Marvin's Watersports Ltd T/A Anna's Watersports is seeking a qualified, skilled, and reliable Deckhand to join our team. The successful candidate will assist in the safe operation and maintenance of the vessel while ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for passengers participating in watersports activities.

Key Responsibilities
Stand watch while the vessel is underway and in port.
Operate, clean, grease, and maintain vessel equipment and machinery.
Maintain the vessel's deck surfaces, interior spaces, deck lockers, and bilges.
Assist with docking, undocking, mooring, and other vessel operations.
Secure cargo and rig towing equipment as required.
Assist Deck Officers with daily vessel operations.
Ensure the safety and well-being of passengers and fellow crew members.
Assist with moving heavy equipment and supplies.
Use ropes, knots, radio communication, and navigational equipment safely and effectively.
Respond to emergencies and operate safety equipment when required.
Perform general maintenance duties, including painting, sweeping, mopping, and cleaning.
Prepare cabins for crew members or passengers.
Assist guests during watersports activities and provide excellent customer service.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Minimum of five (5) years' experience as a Deckhand or in a similar maritime role.
Knowledge of maritime safety regulations and safe vessel operations.
Excellent hand-eye coordination and physical stamina.
Ability to work in varying and sometimes harsh weather conditions.
Maritime certifications are an asset; on-the-job training may be provided where applicable.
Physically fit and able to stand for extended periods and perform manual tasks.
Working knowledge of the maritime industry and vessel maintenance.
Ability to carry out a wide range of maintenance and operational duties.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Flexibility to work weekends, public holidays, and varied schedules as required.
A clean Police Record is required.
