VICE PRESIDENT – CARD SERVICES

The purpose of this role is:

Responsible for overseeing, planning and directing the activities of the Card Services Department. Oversees all Card Processing Issuing and Acquiring. Functions as a member of the senior management team, participates in establishing and implementing major goals and objectives of the Bank through strategic and annual business plans, and serves as a resource in all aspects of Card Services. Ensures that card processing activities are conducted in accordance with established Bank, Card Association and PCI standards. Assists in the resolution of difficult or sensitive card processing transactions. Trains, coordinates, supervises, and appraises personnel. Ensures that services are delivered professionally and efficiently with losses minimized and customers well served.

Key functions of the job are:

• Develops and implements business and operational plans, policies, and goals for the Card Services department. Conducts periodic reviews of existing policies and procedures to ensure that they are effective and current.
• Ensures that card processing, issuing, and acquiring functions are completed in accordance with established policies, procedures, and legal or brand industry requirements. Ensure that card security is given a high priority.
• Works collaboratively with other business units within the organization to manage risk, enhance revenue/control cost and gain wallet share of new customers. Assists and serves Customer Service Centers and other departments as needed.
• Provides leadership to Department staff and direct reports through effective goal setting, delegation, and communication. Conducts staff meetings as required and discuss areas needing improvement, performance of actual to plan and recognition of success.
• Provides oversight and validation of quarterly Card Association reports, CIMA reports, board commentaries, and other documentation as required.
• Undertakes preparation and monitoring of the Department’s annual budget and business.
• Any other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, and PCI Professional Certification.
• Minimum 12 years professional card experience
• Minimum 5 years management experience
• In depth knowledge of card processing and Card Association operating requirements.
• Operational understanding of Bank requirements.
• Strong leadership and supervisory skills.
• Excellent communication and relational abilities.

Salary & Benefits
Cayman National offers an excellent benefits package including pension, health, life, and disability insurance. Depending on experience, the successful candidate can expect an annual salary between CI$115,284.00-CI$166,812.00.
