Cybersecurity Operations Lead – Risk Management

The purpose of this role is:

Responsible for reducing information security risks across the organisation, by driving the delivery of consistent, high quality security controls that meet the organisation’s risk appetite and strategic direction. The Cybersecurity Operations Lead is accountable for the day to day operation and continuous improvement of the organisation’s cybersecurity capability. The postholder owns the operational relationship with the outsourced Security Operations Centre provider and acts as the principal point of contact between Information Security and the IT, Operations and wider business functions. As part of a small team, this is a hands-on role. You will combine management of outsourced and internal security services with direct technical delivery, and will participate in out of hours escalation for major security incidents.

Key functions of the job are:
• Own the operational relationship with the outsourced Security Operations Centre provider, acting as the organisation’s primary point of contact for all service matters.
• Manage the operational relationship with other security service and tooling providers, conduct third party security risk assessments and contract management.
• Act as the principal interface between information security and the IT function and build constructive working relationships across Operational Risk, Compliance, Internal Audit and the business.
• Lead the identification, response and remediation of security threats.
• Own the end to end vulnerability management lifecycle.
• Perform information security control procedures and processes.
• Drive continuous improvement of detection and monitoring capability.

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree or M.Sc in Information Technology, Cybersecurity or a related field, or an equivalent combination of practical experience and technical certifications.
• Industry certification such as CISSP, CISM, GIAC (e.g. GCIH, GCIA) are highly desirable.
• Five years of progressive experience in information security, security operations or IT systems administration position, of which atleast two years in a security operations, incident response or threat detection capacity
• Experience within Financial Services or another regulated industry is advantageous
• Familiarity with IT security operational systems and associated work experience
• Strong understanding of current information security threats and mitigation techniques
• Familiarity with information security defensive strategies

Salary & Benefits
Cayman National offers an excellent benefits package including pension, health, life, and disability insurance. Depending on experience, the successful candidate can expect an annual salary of between CI$78,588.00 – CI$110,000.00
Work Hours: 150 hours per month- Full-time, Location: 62 Forum Lane, Camana Bay
