Systems Administrator (Euronet)- Information Technology
The purpose of this role is:
The Systems Administrator is one of the technical owners of the Bank's card processing platform and the projects that evolve it. The role ensures the stable, secure, and high-performing operation of all hardware, software, and network assets underpinning card issuing and acquiring, including the Card Systems platform and infrastructure supporting servers, HSMs, and integrations with Card Brands.
Beyond day-to-day administration, this is a delivery-focused role. The Systems Administrator leads and contributes to projects within an Agile/Scrum delivery model, coordinating with business and vendor stakeholders, and driving card network mandates and platform upgrades from design through to production. The role also develops and enhances RPG and Java applications where needed, and partners closely with the wider IT team to deliver complex, cross-functional initiatives on time.
Key functions of the job are:
• Own the daily operations of the Card systems environment and connected platforms supporting credit card, debit card, ATM, POS, and e-commerce services including system security, user profiles, peripherals, and performance.
• Technical Lead in Card related Initiatives and Projects with participation in Agile/Scrum project delivery and contribute to sprint planning, backlog refinement, stand-ups, demos, and retrospectives, translate business requirements into technical work items and delivery plans.
• Design, develop, and maintain RPG and Java applications and interfaces that extend or integrate with the Card Systems platform.
• Represent IT in cross-departmental technical discussions, vendor engagements, and planning sessions relating to card products and payment services.
• Ensure that all work aligns with PCI-DSS, audit, and internal security and change management standards.
• Install, configure, and upgrade Card Infrastructure and vendor-supplied hardware and software, including Card System releases, patches, and new product modules.
• Perform other related duties as required.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• 10 years’ experience working in an Information Systems environment.
• 3 to 5 years of recent experience in iSeries systems administration, iSeries database administration and iSeries RPG and Java application development.
• 2 or more years’ experience with configuring hardware and software within an iSeries environment including the setup and configuration of Card Platform specific peripherals and software packages.
• Thorough understanding of programming and information systems
• Thorough knowledge of business software applications.
Salary & Benefits
Cayman National offers an excellent benefits package including pension, health, life and disability insurance. Dependent on experience, the successful candidate can expect an annual salary of between CI$61,632.00 – CI$89,196.00.
Work Hours: 150 hours per month- Full-time
