Job Summary:
SplashFit is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Swim Instructor to join our dynamic and growing team in the Cayman Islands. The ideal candidate is passionate about teaching swimming to all ages and abilities—from infants to adults—in both private and group settings, and is confident teaching in pool and open water environments.
You’ll play a vital role in delivering high-quality, engaging lessons that promote water safety, swimming skills, and confidence in a fun and safe environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver high-quality swim instruction across all age groups and skill levels, including babies, toddlers, children, and adults
Teach both pool-based and open water lessons with a strong emphasis on water confidence, stroke development, and safety
Adapt teaching methods to suit individual learning styles and needs
Maintain a safe, encouraging, and positive learning environment
Conduct swim assessments and communicate progress clearly with parents and clients
Support and supervise swimmers to ensure safety and progression during lessons
Assist with swim school operations such as scheduling, client communication, and program coordination of you own clients.
Represent SplashFit professionally and enthusiastically in line with our core values: safety, quality, and community
Essential Requirements:
Minimum 5 years’ experience as a swim instructor across various age groups and ability levels.
Recognized swim teaching qualification (e.g., STA, ASA, or equivalent)
If you do not have UK qualifications, be prepared to pay and carry out these qualifications.
Experience teaching both private and group lessons
Strong ability to teach infants, pre-schoolers, school-age children, and adults
Open water swim instruction experience or strong confidence teaching in ocean settings
Baby and pre-school swim instructor certification
CPR and First Aid certified
Lifeguard qualified
Physically fit and capable of the demands of an active, hands-on role
Experience managing or coordinating swim school operations
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Degree in a relevant field (e.g., sports science, education, or recreation)
Prior experience living or working abroad
Customer service or client relationship management background
