Camana Bay Aquatic Club (CBAC) is seeking a committed and enthusiastic Assistant Coach to join our dynamic team. This role includes leading one or more training groups and assisting across a wide range of club needs - both in coaching and program support. It is ideal for a coach who thrives in a collaborative environment and is comfortable adapting to evolving responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
• Serve as lead coach for a competitive training group, with focus determined based on candidate experience
• Provide support across various training groups and club operations as needed
• Assist with meet prep, swimmer tracking, and seasonal planning
• Engage with swimmers, families, and staff in a professional and enthusiastic manner
• Foster an environment of technical excellence, team spirit, and continuous improvement
Preferred Qualifications:
• 3–5+ years of coaching experience across youth and/or adult programs
• Sound technical understanding of stroke mechanics, skill progressions, and training cycles
• Organized, dependable, and comfortable with a flexible schedule (morning, evening, and weekend work required)
• ASCA Level 1 or equivalent preferred
• First Aid & CPR certification required
• Experience working with para swimmers is a strong asset

Reporting to: Director of Swimming
Salary (CI$40- 45K per year)
