Qualifications & Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Education and/or Valid teaching certificate/license to qualify for a Cayman Islands Teaching License;
• Demonstrated history of effective teaching experience;
• Ability to follow lesson plans with classroom experience;
• Child Protection Training and/or willing to take required courses;
• Knowledge of Google Classroom, excellent communication, and organizational skills.
Key Responsibilities
• Follow lesson plans and keep learning on track, supporting inquiry-based activities
• Maintain a calm, respectful classroom aligned with IB expectations
• Encourage traits from the IB learner profile (e.g., open-mindedness, reflection)
• Adapt quickly to different age groups, subjects, and classroom dynamics
• Manage student behavior and ensure a safe, structured environment
• Communicate key updates and feedback to the regular teacher
• Supervise students during breaks, transitions, and non-classroom times
• Adhere to school policies, including safeguarding and attendance procedures
Salary: CI$165.00 per full day, with opportunities for long-term assignments offering up to CI$300.00 per day.
