The following list of duties is not intended to be all-inclusive or exhaustive, and other duties may, and likely will, be assigned by Asset Manager from time to time.
o Front office management - Lead, manage and oversee the training of all front office team members, including front desk agents, concierge, guest services staff and night audit to ensure smooth operations, efficient guest check-in and check-out processes, and exceptional service delivery. This position is also responsible for oversight and direction of third-party contract security guards.
o Reservations department - Collaboration, coordination and input on the hotel and timeshare reservations activities and direction, to attain accurate and efficient handling of all reservations, group bookings, and guest inquiries, as well as implementing strategies to optimize room revenue and occupancy levels.
o Guest services enhancement – Assist in the development and implementation of guest service initiatives and standards to enhance the overall guest experience, including personalized service, VIP amenities, IHG program initiatives, and special touches that exceed guest expectations. Responsible for dealing with and/or directing all guest comments, complaints, suggestions, and incidents that occur day or night.
o Housekeeping oversight - Collaborate with the housekeeping department, including room attendants, supervisors, housemen, public space attendants and laundry staff, to ensure cleanliness, hygiene, and maintenance of guest rooms and public areas.
o Quality assurance - Implement and oversee quality assurance standards for guest accommodations, including room cleanliness, maintenance, and amenities, conducting regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with brand standards and guest satisfaction.
o Revenue optimization - Participate in the development and implementation strategies that should maximize room revenue and occupancy levels, including input with pricing strategies, distribution channel management, and upselling initiatives, with the goal of achieving revenue targets and profitability goals. Work closely, collaborate and coordinate with the Driftwood management team as it relates to groups, events, local pricing strategies, corporate accounts and IHG promotions.

o Conducting weekly outside sales calls to local companies
o Arrange site inspections with existing and prospective local corporate accounts
o Develop and maintain relationships with local corporate accounts
o Pursuing new accounts, inactive customer accounts and making calls to new business for sales and catering
o Identify new markets and business opportunities to increase sales
o Implement sales activities within all market segments to achieve budgeted goals
o Create and submit assigned weekly reports
o Handling all inquiries for Groups and Events- guestrooms, F&B functions, meeting space– prepare responses to RFPs and following-up on all leads within 24 hours
o Coordinate with F&B department to provide catering options to groups and events
o Assist with proposals, contracts, BEO's and memos, including distribution
o Oversee execution of group and banquet events- set-up, supervision and teardown- which will require weekend and evening work
o Handle availability, booking and set-up of all meeting room, outdoor and/or restaurant group meetings and events
o Create and execute destination wedding packages, including identifying preferred third-party vendors, respond to wedding leads, and managing booked wedding events
o Assist in developing promotional materials for the resort
o Maintain hotel content across different travel channels
o Attend weekly revenue calls, and work closely with revenue management regarding availability and optimal rate negotiations
o Represent the hotel in various on island FAM tours, and local & CITA events. Attend tradeshows and industry meetings.
o Assist as needed with ad hoc guest relations and site inspections
o Prepare sales and marketing reports as requested by management and ownership
o Maintain strong relationships and work in unity with other hotel departments
o Assist Front Desk during group check ins, group questions and/or group concierge services, and assist front desk during busy times by answering phone calls, assisting customers, managing guest complaints, etc.…
o Other duties as assigned by the Asset Manager
