Qualification: Bachelor of Medicine & Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) and
Doctor of Medicine (MD) in General Medicine

Role Summary
Provides attending physician services to patients to diagnose and treat diseases and injuries of human internal
organ systems at Total Health, according to approved procedures as part of an integrated program of curative
and preventive services.
General Duties
• Performs other appropriate and related duties as assigned by the Reporting-Head to meet departmental objectives
• Continuously look for ways to streamline and improve workflow
• Assist with quarterly/annual audit as required without compromising the regular clinical activities.

Specific Responsibilities
• Conducts out-patient medical consultations & treatment at the clinic as required in outpatient department along with Senior Physician.
• Diagnosis of different cases in outpatient department.
• Performs clinical examination & tests for optimal clinical outcomes and requirement.
• Ability to identify and manage complex medical problems.
• Administers Executive Health Program examinations on a regular basis.
• Participates in the planning and development of professional standards.
• Monitors within established guidelines the quality of care provided. Initiates and participates in review/study of difficult and special cases.
• Keeps informed as to current developments in the field of General Medicine.
• Coordinates and participates in weekly rounds and peer reviews.
• Coordinates with the Director/Administrator in planning programs, integrating the curative and preventive aspects of total patient care.
• Participates in the implementation of approved curative/preventive programs as they relate to General Medicine.
• Oversees and monitors and participates in QA programs as requested by the Medical Director/Administrator.
• Recommends to the Director/Administrator Training and/or development programs to be provided for the Staff.
• Participates in the development and maintenance of professional quality standards and makes Recommendations to the Medical Director/ Administrator for improvement of such standards.
• Orients new staff when requested to do so.
• Plans and maintains daily work schedules necessary for required performance of the department functions
• Communicates regularly with Director and other members of the service.
• Keeps the Director informed of problems encountered. Recommends change in Established policy, rules or regulations wherever pertinent.
• Supervises correct and efficient use of supplies and equipment provided to cut down on expenditure and eliminate waste.
• Assists in the development of improved methods and job simplification of existing procedures, Policies and practices.
• Takes an active role in teaching activities provided for nursing & ancillary staff.
• Participates on committees as requested by the Medical /Administrator.
• Monitors clinical and other established indicators to ensure ongoing quality assurance.
• Strictly observes organization’s medical regulations and policies especially those related to infection control, patient safety, patient assessment and patient care.
• Ensures that the professional demeanor is maintained at all times.
• Complete necessary paperwork, maintain accurate medical records, and ensure compliance with clinic policies and procedures.
• Engage in research activities, including conducting studies, collecting data, and analyzing results at Total Health.
• Excellent problem solving and decision-making skills
• Performs other miscellaneous related duties as requested by the Director/ Reporting Head.
