Troubleshooting, diagnosing and repairing all types of heavy equipment, plant equipment, and specialized asphalt paving equipment. Will also be required to perform field servicing and repairs. Will assist in the training of lower-level mechanics when required. Must have a minimum of 10 years' experience (required) working on all types of heavy equipment and paving equipment. Some blueprint reading skills are required. Computer skills are necessary for diagnostic programs. Must be able to work cooperatively with other employees and interact in a positive manner with customers. Must able to meet tight deadlines. Must be able to operate all types of light vehicles and heavy equipment. Must be organized and able to work nights, weekends and holidays when required. Must have a valid Group 4 driving license with, a clean police and driving record. Only applicants meeting the above qualifications will be interviewed. A test of skills and knowledge will be administered to interviewed applicants. Drug and Alcohol testing may be required.
