Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
• Planning, design, implementation, integration, testing and administration of enterprise security architecture and systems.
• Creation of enterprise security documents (policies, standards, baselines, guidelines, and procedures).
• Evaluates new and emerging security technologies, features, and products to determine their application in the protection of company information assets.
• Participate in the planning and design of an enterprise business continuity and disaster recovery plan.
• Performs security analysis, including architecture review, baselines, vulnerability assessments, and risk assessments to proactively identify security risks and exposures.
• Monitors security events across the network and ensures alerting and resolution of security issues and threats.
• Ensures change control processes are followed and service levels affected by those changes are maintained.
• Leads or participates in IT projects to provide information security expertise, guidance, or training.
• Performs security incident response and forensic investigations in coordination with SOC and relevant parties.
• Other duties as required.
Requirements
Applicants should possess:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Forensics and Security or completion of Associate of (ISC)2
• Recognized IT industry security certification (CISSP, GIAC, CIHE, CEH, etc.) would be an asset.
• CoBIT Certification
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a cybersecurity role
• Knowledge of the IS infrastructure (hardware, databases, operating systems, local area networks etc.) used within the organization
• Extensive experience with Security information and event management (SIEM) solutions and other cybersecurity tools.
• Application Security Architecture & Cloud Computing Concepts
• Encryption Processes, Management and Administration
• Layer 2 and 3 routing and switching protocols (TCP/UDP, IPv4, IPv6, OSPF, etc.)
• Team-oriented and skilled in working within a collaborative environment
• Experience with NIST Cyber Security Framework, Centre for Internet Security (CIS) Top 20 Critical Controls, and/or NERC security standards would be an asset.
• Scripting Languages, such as PowerShell.
• Highly self-motivated and directed.
• Good written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and assess risks, threats, patterns and trends.
• Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
• Knowledge in network topologies, transport and routing protocols.
