The RBC Dominion Securities branch located in Grand Cayman is looking for a resourceful, efficient and collaborative individual to join our leading wealth management firm as an Investment Advisor Associate.
By providing ongoing, exceptional service and support to our clients and our Advisor Teams, you will help us to deepen existing relationships and welcome new clients to the firm. As an invaluable internal and external point of contact, you will play a key role in maintaining client accounts, ensuring account administration and documentation remains up-to-date and compliant, and working with Investment Advisors in managing client portfolios and wealth management planning opportunities.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?
Depending on the specific assignment, you may be required to;
• Assist with management of client investment portfolios including executing client trades directly into the capital markets, portfolio re-balancing and trade settlement
• Execute client wire payment and securities transfer requests
• Conduct timely review of daily reporting to follow up on client transactions, ensuring proper execution, settlement and delivery - proactively resolve issues identified
• Be well-versed in internal controls and industry regulatory requirements, ensuring client files and other necessary documentation is accurate, up-to-date and compliant
• Assist with the welcoming and onboarding of new clients including ensuring compliance with all regulatory/AML requirements and RBC policies
• Maintain client service plans with responsibility for managing timelines and key dates for client contact to ensure clients receive excellent service
• Respond to client inquiries in an understanding and time-efficient manner (account transactions, requests, account documentation, account reporting, etc.)
• Effectively manage incoming communications from clients, colleagues and other internal and external partners
• Tap into your superior problem resolution skills to provide proactive client service. Working collaboratively, you will at times liaise with various departments to provide smooth and timely solutions
• Leverage your planning skills to coordinate and prepare for meetings with clients or prospects
• Provide marketing and administrative support for the maintenance of electronic and physical communication channels
• Support the wealth management process and maintain an audit of wealth management activities and priorities

WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED?
MUST HAVE
• Canadian Securities Course (CSC) and Conduct and Practices Handbook Course (CPH), or equivalent; or the ability to obtain within 6 months of employment
• Derivatives Fundamentals Online (DFOL) as required by role and client portfolio complexity
• A relevant university degree
• Relevant international financial services experience and willingness to engage in continuing education
• Strong skills working with business applications/technology, including Microsoft Office Suite
• High quality time management and organization skills
• Demonstrated skills in providing world-class client service that will come across as professional, warm, and friendly to our clients
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills

NICE-TO-HAVE
• Knowledge of RBC Dominion Securities' systems and procedures
• Experience in the securities industry
• Familiarity with wealth management planning concepts
