Ice Manufacturing Operative/ Delivery Driver.

Mike’s Ice & Refrigeration Co Ltd. is now accepting applications from qualified Caymanians, or Residents Holders only for the position of an Ice Manufacturing Operative/ Delivery Driver.

This person will report to the Plant Supervisor with the responsibilities as follows:
• Complete daily inspection on truck, plant and machinery checklist and report any major issues immediately
• Carry out any necessary routine maintenance or repairs as required
• Assess tasks to be completed with team and plan with management
• Commence operations safely and in line with received training
• Produce, Package, Store and Deliver Ice using trucks, machines, equipment or manually to company standards
• Invoicing and Documentation of deliveries and services in the manner trained
• Once work is complete check over trucks and machinery used and washdown
• Park safely in an area with a camera view, away from hazards, lock, isolate and return key
• Clear work area sweep, rake, shovel, mop and whatever is necessary to disinfect to management standard
• Clean and place all tools used in the designated areas
The successful applicant must have:
• 5+ Years’ Experience with Driving 5-ton trucks.
• 5+ Experience with Forklift operation (certificates are a huge plus)
• Experience Working in manufacturing plants
• Ability to work in Cold Rooms
• Physically fit and able to lift over 50 Lbs. several times daily.
• Strong interpersonal skills,
• Good written and Oral communication skills
• Computer Literate with Ability to use invoicing software
• Well-organized, Ability to work on own initiative
• Group 3 or 4 CI Driver’s License
• Ability to work weekends and Holidays

Salary range CI $8.75 - $11 per hour (commensurate with qualifications & experience) 45 hours per week. Benefits as deemed by law.
