1. Interpret blueprints and building specifications to install HVAC systems, including compressors, ductwork, electrical components, and thermostats, in both residential and commercial settings.
2. Perform preventive maintenance such as cleaning filters and coils, checking refrigerant levels, inspecting ductwork, and calibrating thermostats to extend system lifespan and reduce breakdowns.
3. Diagnose and repair malfunctions using tools like multimeters, refrigerant gauges, and thermal imaging cameras. Replace defective components such as compressors, motors, and thermostats.
4. Explain system issues, provide cost estimates, and offer energy efficiency recommendations to clients, ensuring high customer satisfaction.
5. Follow local building codes, OSHA regulations, and EPA 608 standards for refrigerant handling.
