INSTALL, SERVICE & REPAIR HVAC-R EQUIPMENT Technician.

Duties & Responsibilities:
• Install, service, maintain, troubleshoot and repair air-conditioning, ventilation and refrigeration equipment and systems.
• Perform routine inspections, testing and preventive maintenance of HVAC-R equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults and determine appropriate repairs.
• Install, replace and repair air-conditioning, refrigeration, ventilation components, controls and related equipment.
• Safely use hand tools, power tools, testing instruments and other equipment required for the job.
• Check refrigerant levels, electrical connections, controls and system components as required.
• Test newly installed and repaired equipment to ensure proper and safe operation.
• Respond to service calls and attend to equipment breakdowns and maintenance requirements.
• Maintain accurate records of service, repairs, maintenance and parts used.
• Follow manufacturer specifications, workplace safety procedures and applicable industry standards.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area and properly care for tools and equipment.
• Work effectively with the team and complete assigned jobs within required time frames.
• Perform other related HVAC-R duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Skills:
• High School/Trade School graduate preferred.
•Technical training or certification in HVAC-R, refrigeration, air-conditioning, electrical or a related field preferred.
• Minimum 6 years of relevant experience in HVAC-R installation, servicing, maintenance and repair.
• Practical knowledge of air-conditioning, refrigeration, ventilation and related electrical systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical and electrical equipment faults.
• Ability to safely operate hand tools, power tools and testing equipment.
• Ability to read and follow technical instructions, equipment manuals and specifications.
• Knowledge of workplace health and safety procedures.
• Valid driver’s licence required.
• Physically fit and able to work in different environments, including outdoor and elevated work areas.
• Good hand-eye coordination, practical problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
•Ability to communicate effectively in English.
Other Requirements:
• Clean police clearance.
• Willingness to work irregular days and hours, including evenings, weekends and holidays, as required.
• Willingness to work at different job sites and respond to emergency or after-hours service calls when required.
• Must be reliable, safety-conscious and able to perform the physical requirements of the position.
