The successful candidate will assist the Human Resources team in administering, planning and directing HR activities and strategies required to meet the needs of the highly paced environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES include but not limited to:
• The post holder shares responsibilities in providing confidential and comprehensive human resource support and services for approximately 115 members of staff;
• Scanning and filing of approximately 100 documents in personnel files monthly;
• Entering approximately 200 application information into the database monthly (varies);
• Creating and updating shortlisting matrices for advertised posts;
• Arranging, conducting and grading approximately 25 employment entrance tests monthly;
• Arranging interviews and preparing packages for the Panel approximately 2 – 3 times monthly; producing Panel Reports from graded questionnaires, using a template;
• Preparing approximately 25 employment verification letters monthly;
• Preparing and distributing staff notices weekly.
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
Post holder must possess an Associate’s degree/professional HR certification with a minimum of 4 years of experience in an HR environment or related field. Preferably possess experience in the public service; a large organization, or law enforcement environment. Additionally, it is essential they possess:-
1. Strong IT skills with experience in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Access or computerised personnel systems and data querying tools;
2. Demonstrable skills in filing procedures;
3. Excellent organisational and multi-tasking skills in order to meet deadlines and maintain a high level of efficiency and effectiveness;
4. Highly effective interpersonal and relationship building skills;
5. Highly effective communication skills including report writing and verbal presentation;
6. Meticulous in handling/ recording documents, as well as being tactful and discreet.
7. Self-motivated and effective team player attributes;
8. The ability to bring integrity and impartiality to all tasks, and observes strict confidentiality, while exercising discretion and courtesy;
9. Excellent research and analytical skills.
